WHAT MAKES ENVIROSHIELD® PLUS SO UNIQUE?
EnviroShield® is a low-emissive (Low “E”) high-performance glass system. The key to EnviroShield’s performance is a proprietary metallic coating. Many other types of “Low E” glass consist of a single layer of metal oxide or silver. But EnviroShield® uses a proprietary two-layer silver coating that is spectrally selective. It blocks out a significant amount of the infrared radiation that increases cooling costs and the ultraviolet radiation that damages fabrics, yet it lets in a high degree of visible light. This same coating gives EnviroShield® superior performance in reducing heat loss through the glass, which means you will feel more comfortable and save more on heating costs in winter than you will with single-layer low “E” glass systems.
Low-conductance glass spacing makes the EnviroShield® system warmer at the edges than standard window systems.
The glass-to-metal contact of standard window spacer systems, makes those windows lose heat more quickly, which can cause unsightly and damaging condensation. EnviroShield® with a low-conductance spacer makes the glass warmer all around -- keeping your home warmer and significantly reducing condensation.
